Early Night, Wednesday, October 9, 2024, Madison, New Hampshire
On this mid-autumn evening in northeastern New Hampshire, it’s dark and chilly. It’s nearly 8:30 PM Eastern, and soon it will be Thursday, October 10. Snow hasn’t arrived yet; the day started foggy, turned cloudy at midday, and ended sunny but cold. It was so cold that I wore gloves during my two walks on Huttwill Drive.

I don’t have much to share today. I did a writing exercise this morning and published it on my blog at midday, had some Cream of Mushroom soup for lunch, went out twice, and fretted about all the folks I know in Florida who will be affected by Hurricane Milton when it hits the Gulf Coast. I’ll be back home in Miami soon, and because hurricane season lasts – officially – until November 30, I hope I don’t experience any tropical storms shortly after I arrive.
So, if any of my Florida friends are reading this, I hope you stay safe!

If you had not moved to New Hampshire in the first place, you would have been right in the path of Milton, is that correct?

Glad you are safe (if chilly). Have sent my small contribution to the Red Cross for the folks in Florida. It might not make a difference, but it’s what I can do.

Chilly, but making the best of it.
I hope your donation gets to where it’s needed!
