Well, here it is, Thursday, October 17, 2024.
Today is my mother’s birthday. Had she lived to see it – in good health, of course – she would have been 96 today. Alas, she’s been gone for nine years, so this is one of those weird occasions when I feel more sorrow than joy.
It’s also M-Day for me, so I’ll be leaving Madison as soon as my friend Eric – whose birthday is also today – and his wife Rosie finish loading what we can fit in the truck that we rented thanks to the GoFundMe fundraiser I had to set up.
I don’t have time to write a proper blog post, so, Sayonara, Madison.
