It’s official! The Reunion Duology has reached its emotional—and ambitious—final act. With the Kindle edition of Reunion: Coda launching on April 5, the saga that began with Reunion: A Story is now complete. Your enthusiasm and thoughtful feedback have fueled the stories, and your patience has been invaluable as I tackle publishing’s occasional hiccups with a smile—or perhaps a well-timed groan.

Publishing, as many authors know, is rarely a smooth sprint to the finish. While the Kindle version is ready for your reading pleasure, the print editions are fashionably late to the party. Why? Because Kindle Direct Publishing decided to throw me a curveball or two. A mismatched ISBN here, a paperback cover issue there—it’s enough to make any novelist ponder the possibility of a graphic novel where publishing woes are the central villain.

In Reunion: A Story, I introduce Jim Garraty, a high school senior in 1983 grappling with unspoken feelings and missed opportunities. Fifteen years later, Jim is a successful history professor, but unresolved emotions from his past resurface, challenging him to confront the choices that shaped his life. This novella sets the stage for a poignant exploration of growth and reconciliation.
