The Curtain Rises on the Complete Reunion Duology: A Milestone in Storytelling
It’s official! The Reunion Duology has reached its emotional—and ambitious—final act. With the Kindle edition of Reunion: Coda launching on April 5, the saga that began with Reunion: A Story is now complete. A heartfelt thank-you to all my readers, beta reviewers, and supporters who’ve been part of this journey. Your enthusiasm and thoughtful feedback have fueled the stories, and your patience has been invaluable as I tackle publishing’s occasional hiccups with a smile—or perhaps a well-timed groan.
Speaking of hiccups…
Publishing, as many authors know, is rarely a smooth sprint to the finish. While the Kindle version is ready for your reading pleasure, the print editions are fashionably late to the party. Why? Because Kindle Direct Publishing decided to throw me a curveball or two. A mismatched ISBN here, a paperback cover issue there—it’s enough to make any novelist ponder the possibility of a graphic novel where publishing woes are the central villain.
But no worries—Reunion: Coda will arrive in hardcover and paperback later this week. I’m working tirelessly (with KDP, of course) to ensure every detail, from formatting to cover design, is as impeccable as Jim Garraty’s knack for self-reflection.
What’s the Reunion Duology, you ask?

The Reunion Duology is a heartfelt exploration of connection, redemption, and the enduring impact of past choices. Spanning two distinct works— Reunion: A Story, a novella, and Reunion: Coda, a novel—the series invites readers into an emotionally resonant journey where second chances take center stage.

In Reunion: A Story, I introduce Jim Garraty, a high school senior in 1983 grappling with unspoken feelings and missed opportunities. Fifteen years later, Jim is a successful history professor, but unresolved emotions from his past resurface, challenging him to confront the choices that shaped his life. This novella sets the stage for a poignant exploration of growth and reconciliation.

Reunion: Coda, the sequel, expands on the themes of transformation and connection while deepening the narrative’s emotional complexity. Written with wit, introspection, and a touch of humor, the novel marks my evolution as a storyteller and my debut in crafting longer-form fiction.
Through the Reunion Duology, I invite readers to embrace life’s subtle wonders, uncover hidden truths, and celebrate the resilience of the human spirit. With characters and themes that linger long after the last page, these books are bound to resonate with anyone who believes in the power of second chances.
So, stay tuned for updates on the print editions of Reunion: Coda, and in the meantime, dive into the Kindle version if you haven’t already. Jim Garraty and his journey are waiting for you—along with all the emotional twists, turns, and triumphs that make life’s second chances worth embracing.

One reader started reading the Kindle edition; she was still in the Prologue, but she loves it. I only hope you feel the same way.
It is a long book, but it is, according to my Beta reader, an enjoyable read.
(I’ll be happy once I get past the publishing process and its SNAFUs.)
