Hasbro Star Wars Saga Scene Pack: Jedi Council 1

One of the most fascinating aspects of the Star Wars prequel trilogy is the glimpse it offers into the Jedi Order during the final years of the Old Republic. Audiences were introduced to the inner workings of the Jedi High Council, the Code that guided their lives, and the relationships between Jedi Masters and their Padawan apprentices.

Hasbro’s Star Wars Saga Scene Pack: Jedi Council 1 captures this atmosphere by featuring three legendary Jedi Masters—Mace Windu, the senior member of the Council; Oppo Rancisis, the serpentine strategist; and the fierce, reptilian Even Piell. The set recreates a moment from Episode II: Attack of the Clones, placing the figures in the Council chamber atop the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. The backdrop depicts a hologram projection in the foreground and a dramatic crimson-orange sunset over the city, lending the scene a sense of foreboding.

Over the years, Hasbro has refined the design of its coveted Scene Packs as the 3.75-inch figure line expanded. The 2003–2004 packaging is more compact than earlier releases such as Power of the Force and Episode I, with reshaped boxes that still follow the familiar formula: two common figures paired with one rarer character. The craftsmanship is impressive—the figures’ natural poses and detailing make it easy to imagine the dialogue unfolding in the chamber.

Although Hasbro recommends this set for children ages four and up, it is clear that the primary audience is collectors, typically teens and adults. Star Wars figures are durable, but their small accessories can be lost easily, making them better suited for display than for play. As someone who has collected Star Wars figures since 1978, I can attest that Jedi Council 1 is a piece designed to be appreciated as part of a collection, not tossed into a toy box.
