To celebrate the completion – at long last – of the third revised edition of Reunion: A Story, the first volume in a two-book series, Amazon and I are offering a Fourth of July special price for the Kindle edition. (Sorry, paperback fans, but Amazon doesn’t let me offer discounts on the hard copy editions!)
Amazon Book Description for Reunion: A Story
It is February 1998. 33-year-old Jim Garraty is a respected history professor and bestselling author who lives in New York City. Popular with both students and readers, Jim seems to have it all. Fame, a nice apartment in Manhattan, and a reputation as one of the best World War II historians in the U.S.But when he gets a cryptic email from his best friend from high school, Jim is forced to relive his past – and a trip to his home town of Miami reopens old wounds he thought had healed long ago.
For a limited time (July 3-10), you can purchase the e-book edition of the first installment of the Reunion Duology for the low price of $1.99 (the regular price is $3.99). That’s a good bargain, considering that you’ll be getting the new revised edition faster than those of us who must wait till the Kindle Direct Publishing system trickles down the updates to those of us who already own the Kindle e-book.

For those of you who prefer physical books, I wish I could have given you a discount as well, but it costs Amazon more to print and ship hard copies of books it manufactures for Kindle Direct Publishing authors (like me, for example), so you’ll either need to get the paperback edition for $8.50 (I get approximately $2.99 out of that) or bite the bullet and try out the e-book. (You don’t even need an e-reader device. You can download Kindle apps for PC, Mac, or even smartphones!)
