Early Afternoon, Saturday, November 11, 2023, Lithia, Florida

Hey, there. Welcome to the second Saturday edition of A Certain Point of View, Too for November 2023. It’s a hot, almost summer-like day here in the Tampa Bay area. The current temperature is 87°F/31°C under sunny skies. It’s quite humid outside, too, so the heat index is 97°F/37°C. The forecast for the Lithia/Fish Hawk area calls for mostly sunny skies. The high will be 90°F/32°C.

As is my habit these days, I checked the weather for Madison, New Hampshire. To no one’s surprise, it feels like late fall/early winter there; the temperature there is 41°F/5°C under sunny skies. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I must adapt to a colder climate than I’m accustomed to, cos M-Day is less than 31 days away, so I keep on checking the weather in my future town of residence to prepare mentally for the change of environment.
From Lithia to Madison – the Movin’ Out Saga Continues

Speaking of M-Day (December 12, 2023), the packing-up of things (mostly Star Wars collectibles for now) proceeds apace. Most of the Star Wars The Black Series collectibles are in moving boxes labeled (no surprise) as Star Wars Collectibles. There are still a few SWTBS items that need to be taken down from floating shelves on my bedroom wall, including my beloved Star Wars 40tth Anniversary display stand and its associated Star Wars action figures, but now we’re tackling the boxes of Star Wars stuff I brought to Lithia from Miami back in ’16.

Aside from that, we still need to put away my Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park stuff, but thankfully those franchises are represented mainly by books and movies, with only one Tyrannosaurus rex collectible to worry about. Once the Indy and Jurassic stuff is in boxes, the rest of my media stuff – CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays – will be carefully removed from their places in media towers and boxed.
In Other News

Today is Veterans’ Day in the United States and Armistice Day in Great Britain, Canada, and other Allied nations that fought in the First World War. As is my custom, I will watch one of my many military-themed movies or documentaries at some point today. Maybe later this afternoon or in the early evening – I have not decided yet.
Aside from that, I have nothing to share, except to observe that packing my stuff away for a move is, as always, both a tiring and sobering process. Yes, the move is necessary, and even if I’d moved somewhere else in the Tampa Bay area – which was the Plan A of this whole scheme – it would still evoke the same mixed feelings of melancholy and anticipation, I’m not going to lie and say I’m jumping for joy over it.
Well, I woke up again at 3:30 AM, and even though this time around I managed to doze off again till 7 AM or so, I’m tired, so I’ll close for now. Until next time, stay safe, stay healthy, and I’ll catch you on the sunny side of things.

Thank you so much, Alex, for including my review of your book. It was a long time ago and I was not as good at writing reviews back then, and other than seeing your name on Facebook and Epinions I did not know you very well. I am wondering if I should update the review, especially since I’ve read your book again long after that review.

Hey, Thomas!
You’re so very much welcome. Your kindness and desire to help promote “Reunion” will, of course, always be remembered with gratitude by me.
As for updating your Amazon review: As always, the best person to judge whether an update is necessary is…you. I sometimes update my own reviews if I see that I didn’t write them as well as I ought to, or if there are distracting errors of fact or grammar. Otherwise, I let them stand or make a few minor edits if necessary.)
I hope you are doing well today on Veterans Day 2023. And, as always, I thank you for being a thoughtful and generous friend.
