Hi, everyone. It’s a cold but sunny late winter day in New Hampshire. Currently, the temperature is 43°F (6°C) under sunny skies. With the wind blowing from the west-northwest at 4 MPH (7 Km/H) and humidity at 50%, it feels like 50°F (10°C). Today’s forecast calls for sunny skies and a high of 45°F (7°C). Tonight, the skies will be partly cloudy. The low will be 24°F (-4°C).
Today’s post will be brief. I’ve had a busy day because I went with my friend Patti to get my New Hampshire non-driver’s identification card. We had an appointment at the local Division of Motor Vehicles for 11 AM, so I’ve been on the go since 10:30 AM. I won’t delve into the nitty-gritty of how I got my temporary card; the important thing is that I am now officially a resident of New Hampshire, and I can expect to receive my permanent card in the mail sometime soon.

After that, Patti invited me to lunch at Fiesta Jalisco, a local Mexican restaurant. I had one of the lunch specials: a beef burrito and enchilada topped with sour cream, lettuce, and tomato. I also had a Sam Adams beer with my food. I enjoyed the meal, the beer, and Patti’s company; it was good to get out of the house for a while.
On our way home, we stopped at Market Basket to get some groceries – me more than Patti. I still have a few items left over from my previous food-shop, but I still needed to get milk, sugar, breakfast foods, and bread, just to name a few of the necessary things I purchased.

As a result, I’m now tired, so I think I’ll take the rest of the afternoon off. I think the relief of having gotten my ID card – at least in temporary form – and the effects of just going out and getting groceries drained my batteries a bit.
So, with that in mind, I’ll wait until tomorrow to work on my novel. I can’t write all that well when my body and brain are demanding that I take a break. I’ll get back to Reunion: Coda tomorrow.
Until next time, then, stay safe, stay healthy, stay warm, and I’ll catch you on the sunny side of things.
