Hi, everyone. I usually don’t post this late, but today it couldn’t be helped. Patti, my friend (and landlady) took me to New Hampshire Health and Human Services to begin the process of applying for the same benefits – SNAP food assistance and Medicaid – I am currently getting from my home state of Florida. I probably meet the requirements, but I still must close my account with Florida’s Department of Children and Families (DCF, plus I must also provide a few other documents.

After we finished that errand, Patti took me to Delaney’s Hole in the Wall, a nice little restaurant in North Conway with an Irish/sports-oriented ambiance for a belated birthday lunch. (Thanks, Patti!)
Per its website: Delaney’s has become a tradition in the Valley for locals and visitors alike,
for great food, drinks and fun times since 1994!
The Hole in the Wall Gang is made up of a bunch of creative bandits who round up the finest and freshest local ingredients to provide you with a delicious meal. Virtually everything on our menu is made from scratch. If there is a certain ingredient you want added or left out, no problem, we can do it.

I probably shouldn’t have, considering that I didn’t work on my novel at all when I got back home, but I had a Stella Artois beer with my ABC burger – Delaney’s “Basic Burger” topped with applewood bacon and cheese – and fries. It was only one beer, so obviously I didn’t get drunk. But I did get more of a buzz than I bargained for, so I wasn’t able to sit down at my desk and write anything – until now, anyway.
I’m still not in tip-top condition to work on Reunion: Coda, and I don’t have anything else to share about my day, but I did want to at least pop in with a brief life update and let you folks know that I’m okay. A bit tired, stressed out, and headachy….

Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be back in writing shape!

That picture doesn’t look like a Stella but it looks good. I am glad you had a good day out. You need to have days off to be productive in the long run.

The photo, of course, is a generic “beer” illustration from Pexels. I don’t usually take photos when I’m preoccupied with such things as applying for government assistance and all that stuff. And, yes, rest is important; I just have a hard time giving up a “writing day” right before the weekend.

Lunch was fun. (And yummy.) Thinking about the application process and all that jazz…iffy.
