“Are ye the ghosts of fallen leaves, O flakes of snow, For which, through naked trees, the winds A-mourning go?” John Banister Tabb

Hi, everyone. It’s late morning – noon is 30 minutes away as I write this first line – here in Madison. It’s a cold, cloudy early spring day. It’s also the start of Daylight Savings Time and began with the tail end of a snowstorm that – thankfully – is gradually moving away from Carroll County. (It was still snowing when I woke up at 7:00 AM, and it didn’t stop until a little while ago._

Currently, the temperature is 37°F (3°C) under cloudy conditions. With the wind blowing from the west-northwest at 4 MPH (7 KMH) and humidity at 81%, it feels like 41°F (5°C). Today’s forecast calls for cloudy skies and a high of 46°F (8°C). Tonight, more light snow showers will pass through the area. The low will be 30°F (-1°C).

It snowed quite a bit while I slept; I wouldn’t be surprised if I heard later that we accumulated eight inches of the white stuff – or even more – overnight.

I don’t have much in the way of news, and I don’t have any exciting plans for today. I’ll only work on the manuscript if I get an irresistible urge to write or a particularly vivid mental image that won’t wait until tomorrow for me to record it on the .docx file for Reunion: Coda. So, instead of a long blog post…here are some YouTube music videos for your listening pleasure!

  1. It is beautiful with some snow. I remember snow in May, even June in northern Sweden. But my guess is that it is the last snow for the year. Spring is coming next.
