The people have spoken.
According to a poll published in yesterday’s blog post, the most popular cover design is Juan Carlos Hernandez’s Moonlight, which features grown-up Jim Garraty and lovely pianist Madison Reynaud, along with a beautiful nighttime cityscape of New York City.
Moonlight received 10 of 19 votes (52.63% of the total votes), so that the artwork that will grace the cover of the hardcover and paperback editions.

In second place, with five votes (26.32% of the total), Sunset, another Jim & Maddie cover, featuring a couple silhouetted against the sky and a beautiful sunset out in Hill Country. I designed that one using Canva. Sunset will be used as the cover art for the Kindle Edition.
In third place? High schoolers Jim & Marty Kissing/Manhattan Skyline, which also has a subtle “bookbag” motif. It received three votes (15.79% of the total).

I like this design because it symbolizes the parallel stories of Jim Garraty and two loves that he has – one in high school, the other when he’s in his mid-30s. I might use it for a re-issue of the print edition in future years.

I’m surprised that Love Letter didn’t get much love…or many votes. It received a single vote (5.26% of the total). Ah, well. At least it got one vote.

As you might remember I picked Moonlight like most people, but you are the author and you should of course pick what you want.

The whole point of creating a poll was to help me decide which cover to choose…and…it worked!
