Spring Almanac and Observations
“I enjoy the spring more than the autumn now. One does, I think, as one gets older.” ― Virginia Woolf, Jacob’s Room

Hi, everyone. It’s another lovely spring day here in my corner of New England. Currently, the temperature is 73°F (23°C) under mostly sunny conditions. With humidity at 61% and the wind blowing from the west-southwest at 9 MPH (14 Km/H), the feels-like temperature is 81°F (27°C). Today’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high of 80°F (27°C). Tonight, the skies will be mostly clear. The low will be 53°F (12°C)).
On Writing & Storytelling: All Quiet on the Storytelling Front
“If what you did yesterday seems big, you haven’t done anything today.” – Lou Holtz

Yesterday was not a productive day as far as my writing activities are concerned.

Sure, I wrote yesterday’s blog post, so it’s not like I didn’t produce anything. That said, as much as I enjoy blogging, and as much as A Certain Point of View, Too is my place to rave (or rant) about things in my life, it is not as important to me, really, as my novel. So for me, yesterday was a washout because I didn’t add a single word to the Reunion: Coda manuscript. The weather was cold, damp, and gray, for one thing. And waking up twice (once at 4 AM, then again shortly before 9 AM) left me feeling groggy and uninspired.
I won’t say much about yesterday, except that it was a colder, grayer, and wetter version of my Sunday.
Action This Day

Today, of course, is a workday, so I plan to:
- Take my usual two-hour midday break (soon)
- Try to clear the cobwebs in my head
- Try to get some exercise, fresh air, and sunshine
- Write Scene Three of Reunion: Coda’s 17th chapter, or at least get it started
That’s all I have to say, so…Auf wiedersehn!

We are having rough weather here in Dallas. We had severe thunderstorms (and another one right now), a tornado, derechos, flash floods, and we lost power most of the day. I was participating in French class and a Russian lady explained (in French) that a tree fell over the road so her husband could not go to work. Then I lost power. It looks we might lose power again soon. Anyway, have a good work day today.

Stay safe. And I hope you don’t lose your power at all. (But…if you do…I hope it’s restored quickly.)
