Weekend Update, Part the Second: A Quick Summary of My Sunday

Greetings, Dear Reader. I’m running a bit late with my Monday morning routine, and since this is the first day of the new workweek – as well as of a new month – I’ll keep this short.
Yesterday’s weather was an improvement over Saturday’s cloudiness and rain. The sun peeked out from behind a veil of clouds, and it wasn’t too cold. I stayed indoors, even though I knew I needed to get some sun and exercise. I didn’t feel motivated enough to put on my walking shoes, grab my hiking poles, and walk along Huttwill Drive to see the trees and houses in my corner of Eidelweiss District.

To brighten up my mood, I did what I usually do on weekends: I listened to some tunes on my Amazon Music app, read some books, watched YouTube videos from Ferron Balanced and The Historical Gamer, and played some of my computer games. But the best thing that made me happy was setting up my Disney+ account on my bedroom TV. I already had it on my other 4K UHD TV, the one that I don’t use anymore from my old bedroom in Lithia, and on my PC. But until recently, my bigger bedroom TV was giving me a hard time with Amazon Music (it still can’t connect to the server properly, so only some of my digital albums work there) or Disney+ (I couldn’t find the app on the TV’s apps menu until it magically showed up on Friday.)
I managed to do something awesome yesterday: I fixed the subtitles on Disney+. Normally, I’m good at figuring out stuff like this, but I needed my friend Patti to show me how to turn on and adjust closed captions on that streaming service. I was clueless before that. (Maybe I could have discovered the instructions by myself someday, but my anxiety often gets in the way of my thinking. It’s hard to be logical when you’re feeling nervous, right?)

Last night, I watched one episode of Star Wars: The Acolyte, a new Disney+ show set 100 years before the Empire took over the galaxy. I would have binge-watched more, but it was already past 10 PM when I started, and I was feeling drowsy, so I called it a night.
And that, folks, is how I spent the last Sunday of June 2024.
Action This Day: Assignment – Novel Writing

My goal for this first workday in July is to start Scene Three in Reunion: Coda’s Chapter 18. I know I won’t write the whole scene today. I’ll be happy to make a detailed outline by the end of the afternoon shift. I wish I could finish the scene draft today and only do edits and revisions tomorrow, but that’s very unlikely.
Well, it’s almost time for my midday break, so I’ll just sign off here. Until next time, stay safe, stay healthy, and I’ll catch you on the sunny side of things.
