Late Morning/Midday, Monday, February 10, 2025, Miami, Florida
Hi, everyone.
It’s a beautiful, sunny day here in Miami, Florida, where the temperature has climbed to a balmy 81°F (27°C). With the humidity at 62%, it feels even warmer, like a tropical 91°F (33°C). Meanwhile, up north in Madison, New Hampshire, it’s a chilly 27°F (-3°C) with light snow showers—a stark contrast indeed.

Just a year ago, I was braving the cold in the mountains of New England, layering up and learning the ropes of winter survival. Although I did my best to adapt to the rural lifestyle, there were too many obstacles, including an unwelcoming fellow tenant who made it clear I wasn’t wanted. That chapter is behind me now.

Today, I’m back in the familiarity of my hometown, rediscovering the joys of suburban life. The warmth of Miami is a welcome embrace, reminding me of the vibrancy and comfort of home.

Today is also the start of a new workweek, so I must set aside any reveries of the past and focus on my current project, Reunion: Coda. Although I have a few ideas for beginning the new chapter, they’re not yet well-defined. I need to take the time to outline Chapter 25’s Scene One before diving in.
I need to take my midday break so I can feel rested and ready to resume work on my Magnum Opus. Yet, before I go, I want to share a small token of appreciation. From now until Saturday, you can download a free e-book edition of Reunion: A Story from Amazon’s Kindle Store. If you haven’t had the chance to delve into the first book of the Reunion Duology, now is the perfect time to begin your journey. It’s a tale of nostalgia and discovery, much like my own return to Miami. So, take this opportunity to explore a story close to my heart.
