Late Morning, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Miami, Florida

It’s a beautiful late winter day in South Florida. The current temperature is 75°F (24°C) under mostly sunny conditions. Since we’re in the subtropical zone, it’s humid, and there’s a land breeze blowing at 8 MPH (13 km/h) from the west-northwest, making the heat feel like 84°F (29°C). Today’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high of 78°F (25°C).

Unfortunately, I didn’t make any progress on Reunion: Coda yesterday. A restless night disrupted my sleep cycle, leaving me tired all day, and the gloomy, rainy weather didn’t help. Moreover, worries about the disastrous second Trump presidency and its effects on our lives were unwelcome distractions from my plan to start crafting the fourth scene of Chapter 25.

However, I am optimistic that after my midday break, I will be in a better frame of mind to outline the scene. Positive thinking, combined with a nice lunch and a break from sitting alone in front of a computer, often works wonders to restore my creativity!

(The Prelude and Main Title March from Superman also help!)

  1. We are having pretty comfortable weather today, but it seems to be an everyday thing in Miami. I have only passed throught Miami, never stayed there. One day I hope to make a real visit.

  2. Alex, the political situation has my mood swinging between outrage, apprehension, and laughing at the absurdities. ❤️
