“Writing is magic, as much the water of life as any other creative art. The water is free. So drink. Drink and be filled up.” ― Stephen King, On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft
Well, folks, as I mentioned yesterday, after two years of pouring my heart into character arcs, crafting engaging dialogues, creating believable settings and situations, and weaving intricate timelines, I’m almost finished with my first novel – Reunion: Coda.

When will I publish the finished book so you can order and read it? Well, that depends on when I complete both the novel and its publication process. I edit as I write, and I have a fantastic Beta reader – Hi, Denise! – helping me avoid poor editorial choices, so I don’t foresee a major rewrite of the manuscript. If all goes well and I can keep the creative momentum going, I might finish Reunion: Coda by May… June at the latest.
On when readers can expect to buy the book

I still have two or three chapters left to write for the conclusion of Reunion: Coda, so, as Yogi Berra famously said, “It ain’t over till it’s over.” But the story has reached its emotional peak in the latest chapter. Now, all that’s left is tying up the remaining loose ends… and then it’s on to the next phase of preparing the book for publication.

So, thank you, loyal readers, for your unwavering support and patience. Your enthusiasm and encouragement have fueled my dedication to this project. I sincerely hope that Reunion: Coda will meet your expectations and bring you as much joy in reading it as I have found in writing it. Here’s to the next chapter, both in the story and in this journey we’re on together.

Way to go, Alex. Can’t wait to read it. Loved the first one, so… Keep up the good work!

Interestingly, even though the two books’ Present Day setting is only two years apart, my writing evolved (hopefully for the better) in the 27 years that have passed since I wrote Book 1. We’ll both find out later this year how good Book 2 might be…. 🙂
