“You have to celebrate the small wins as well.” ― Robin S. Baker
Hi, everyone.
It’s a gray, sometimes rainy day here in the Greater Miami area on this first Saturday in May 2025. Currently, the temperature is 81°F (27°C) under rainy conditions. With humidity at 66% and the wind blowing from the southeast at 11 MPH (18 Km/H), it feels like 86°F (30°C). On this late spring day, we can expect scattered rain showers and a high of 85°F (29°C).

It’s been a month and one day since I finished the storytelling aspect of Reunion: Coda. On Monday, it will be the one-month anniversary of the novel’s publication, and I’m excited to say that the journey has been nothing short of exhilarating. Although I had to upload a few more corrections to Kindle Direct Publishing yesterday to fix minor errors, I’m heartened by the progress we’ve made.
The mistakes I found – which arose during the rewriting process – were small and likely won’t significantly impact the reading experience for most of you. As writers, we often see what we expect to see, and sometimes those tiny details slip through the cracks.

These little errors do bother me, both as a writer and a reader. I’m annoyed by misnaming a character “Susan” when she’s “Stephanie” or having the protagonist say he’ll do something on his way home from work but then show him doing it the next morning without explanation. Such goofs can take us out of the story, and as a writer, I feel an obligation to correct them to ensure the best experience for you all.
Happily, I got word late yesterday afternoon that the update to the Kindle version went “live,” and you should see the changes within the next few days. This morning, between 4 and 6 AM, KDP informed me that the print editions had also gone live, and the new version should be in Amazon’s stock within the next five days.

While these updates might not be as thrilling as discovering that Reunion: Coda went viral like Fifty Shades of Grey or receiving a contract offer from a major publisher, I do consider this a small win. And believe me, every victory – large or small – is worth celebrating. Thank you for being part of this journey with me; your support means the world.
