Man, it’s hot. It’s like Africa hot. Tarzan couldn’t take this kind of hot. – Neil Simon, Biloxi Blues

It’s another searing subtropical spring day in South Florida, the hottest day I’ve experienced since my return home from New Hampshire last October. The temperature is 90°F (32°C) under sunny skies. With humidity at 59% and the wind blowing from the east-southeast at 7 MPH (12 Km/H), the feels-like temperature is 99°F (37°F). We’ve already hit the forecast high for the day, so it remains to be seen how soon it will start to cool back down to tonight’s forecast low of 77°F (25°C).
I don’t have much in the way of news; I spent much of my Saturday trying to relax with books – I’m currently reading three, including my novel Reunion: Coda – and computer games (I played Sid Meier’s Civilization V for a change of pace). I also checked my Kindle Direct Publishing account to see how many copies of Reunion: Coda have been ordered in May – six so far, including one Kindle e-book and one hardcover.
Before I go, I’d like to share some of my favorite songs – as opposed to instrumental themes or leitmotifs – from the movies. Enjoy!
