Exciting news—Reunion: Coda has officially reached Spain! This morning, Lisa Dolan, student activities director at the International College of Seville, received her copy and shared a photo on Instagram Messages, proudly holding up the book. Her caption? “Yay! I’ve got some good reading to do!”

Lisa and I go way back—our friendship started during my time in the Semester in Spain program in the Fall Term of 1988, when it was co-sponsored by CCIS. Over the years, we’ve kept in touch, sharing stories, memories, and now, books. Seeing Reunion: Coda in her hands is more than just a book sale—it’s a reminder of how storytelling connects us across time and distance.
With Reunion: Coda already making its way to readers in the UK, Canada, and now Spain, I suppose I can say I’m an internationally known author! It’s thrilling to see this novel resonate beyond borders, finding readers in places tied to my journey.

If you haven’t picked up your copy yet, now’s the perfect time. Reunion: Coda explores themes of love, memory, and second chances, wrapped in a story that lingers long after the final page. Available on Amazon and partner booksellers in Kindle e-book, paperback, and, in select markets, hardcover editions, the novel is accessible wherever Amazon operates. As Lisa’s recent acquisition in Spain demonstrates, the book continues to find its way to readers across the globe. Get yours today and dive in!

It is amazing that you and Lisa Dolan have kept in contact since 1988. That is a long time considering it is a different country and not close family or similar.

Lisa and I have been friends since I arrived in Seville in late September of 1988, true, and back in those last years when email wasn’t widespread we exchanged, oh, three or four “snail mail” letters before the correspondence petered out. Thankfully, I somehow found the International College of Seville on social media and reached out…and thankfully we reconnected. So it’s not like we had a continuous communication since ’88.
Of course, Lisa was (and still is) a great student activities director, and we got along splendidly when I participated in the Semester in Spain program. I still remember that she gave me a hug when we said goodbye in December of ’88…and she did like Reunion: A Story when she got her copy in the summer of 2023!
Today is Arrival Day for the new semester, Lisa said this morning on Instagram, but she’s sure that she’ll start reading Reunion: Coda this weekend.

That is a great story. Even though the contact wasn’t continuous, it is amazing that you reconnected across an ocean. I even find it difficult to keep contact across the ocean with people I spent half my life with. But I guess internet makes it possible.

Yep, I agree 100% with you about the Internet making it possible to connect or reconnect with others.
I hope you’re recovering well from jet lag!

That’s good. It took me three days to “get back in synch” with the Eastern time zone after my return from Spain back in ’88.
