Now Available: Comings and Goings: The Art of Being Seen
I’m honored to share that my latest work is now live—Comings and Goings -The Art of Being Seen is exclusively available on Kindle.
This story lives in the quiet margins of memory—firsts and almosts, moments that linger longer than they were ever meant to. It’s not about grand declarations or plot twists. It’s about presence. And how sometimes, the gentlest connections leave the deepest marks.
Here’s an excerpt that captures the stillness at the core of the story:
“She wasn’t rushing. She wasn’t watching me like she expected anything. She was just there. Present. Assured. Like she’d already made peace with the pause in my breathing.
When she slid the shirt gently off my shoulders, I caught the first full glimpse of her—bathed in the soft lamplight, the pale curve of her collarbone drawing a line toward everything I didn’t yet know. I couldn’t look away. Not because she was naked, but because she wasn’t afraid.
And maybe that was the most staggering thing.”
If you’ve ever been changed by a single night—whether or not it led to more—I hope this book meets you where you are.

Working on this simultaneously with “Coda?” You’re giving me too much to read, Alex. 😉

Not quite simultaneously, Paul. At least not in the strict “I wrote the two stories at the same time” sense. The new story suggested itself when I re-read “Coda” as a reader. In another sense, i.e. that I’m still marketing the novel, well, yeah. Kind of simultaneously. There’s an Author’s Note in “Comings and Goings” that explains it all.
