My GoFundMe. Most of the donations will go to the folks moving me if I don’t get the full “ask,” so please consider donating.

63% and Counting—Thank You, and a Little More Honesty

We’ve reached 63% of the first benchmark goal on my GoFundMe campaign, and I want to start by saying thank you to everyone who’s donated so far. Your generosity means more than I can express—especially during a time that’s equal parts exciting and daunting.

I’ll admit, I feel a little strange about having to launch a GoFundMe in the first place. Asking for help publicly isn’t something that comes naturally to me. But moving from Miami to Central Florida isn’t a small endeavor, and I’m not being whisked away by magic carpet or moving truck fairy godparents. It’s a real, costly transition—and one I’m navigating without the cushion of strong book sales to fall back on.

I’ve listed the specific expenses on the campaign page, so I won’t repeat them here. But suffice it to say: the campaign is still active because the need is still real.

Now, if GoFundMe isn’t your thing—or if you’d rather support me in a way that feels more reciprocal—I do have four books available on Amazon. I’m a writer. That’s how I earn royalties. But those royalties only come when people buy the work. If you’ve ever connected with my stories, characters, or the emotional architecture of the Garratyverse, purchasing a book is a powerful way to help.

You can explore my work on my Amazon author page—including Reunion: Coda, Comings and Goings, and more.

Whether you donate, share the campaign, or pick up a book, you’re helping me move forward—literally and creatively. And for that, I’m deeply grateful.

This GFM has gone a bit better than the last one, that’s for sure.

    1. Welcome to the Garratyverse, Dawn!

I’m happy that you loved Reunion: A Story. Thank you for reading it; that novella was my first attempt at serious fiction. I look forward to reading your thoughts next week!
