🎧 Audiobook Update: All Three Projects Are Underway!
I’m thrilled to share that all three audiobook adaptations of my Garratyverse stories —Reunion: A Story, Reunion: Coda, and Comings and Goings – The Art of Being Seen—are officially in production!

Stefan (Steve) Lee, who is narrating Reunion: Coda, sent me a brief sample late Saturday night. His performance brings Jim Garraty’s personality to life with warmth and clarity, and I’ve given him the green light to proceed. We’ve agreed on a March 2026 completion date, which feels right given the book’s complexity and emotional depth.
Each audiobook is being shaped with care and emotional precision. Reunion: Coda is probably going to be the last release—it’s huge and packed with an epic story! All three projects are moving along right now, and it’s exciting to see where they go next.
More updates soon—and thank you for listening.

Alex, this is great! Congratulations on your audiobook projects.I think it really brings the story to life. Your books will become accessible to blind people. That is a plus, I think! 💕
I would like to do an audio book with my one book that doesn’t have photos when I don’t have so much going on.

While I hadn’t considered the accessibility for sight-impaired book lovers angle, I do think it’s a definite plus. My original focus, I must admit, was to go for those folks who prefer audiobooks to print or even Kindle e-books.
I’m glad Amazon owns ACX….I don’t think I could have created any audiobooks without them.

I got lucky, Pooj. Three narrator/producers with great voices agreed to tackle the three existing stories of the Jim Garraty Chronicles, aka “the Garratyverse,” for no upfront payment. Hopefully the first two books will be available on Audible by the winter holidays.

That really is lucky and very nice of them.

I think that there are quite a few producers/narrators who are building a portfolio and are willing to gamble that a title will sell at least moderately well, so they accept the “shared royalties” payment option on ACX. The “Per Finished Hour” (PFH) option is beyond my ability to pay (some narrators ask for $50-$150 PFH on ACX), so I was lucky to find Brandon, Bryan, and Steve in the no-upfront payment category.

Ah I see, that’s great that they’re okay with shared royalties instead of paying per hour.
