No News, Just Nerves: A Quiet Check-In
Friday, November 7, 2025 – Orlando, Florida
Earlier today, I shared a hopeful update about my audiobook submissions to ACX. Tonight, I want to offer a more honest reflection—not of progress, but of the quiet act of looking for it.
I haven’t heard anything from ACX. No emails. No alerts. Just the same “In Review” status on both Comings and Goings – The Art of Being Seen and Reunion: A Story. So I did what many creators do in moments like this: I went looking. I opened the project profiles, hoping for a breadcrumb—any sign that something had moved.

And there it was. Not a message, but a quiet shift in the checklist:
- Comings and Goings has passed Metadata and Cover Art.
- Reunion: A Story has passed Cover Art.
It’s not much, but it’s something. A whisper of progress. A reminder that even in silence, the wheels might be turning.

I know these titles aren’t just files. They’re vessels of memory, voice, and emotional presence. Bryan Haddock’s narration of Comings and Goings carries the ache of missed chances. Reunion: A Story, with the quietly sober narration by Brandon Padilla, holds the tension of adolescent longing and adult reflection.
So I wait. Not passively, but vigilantly. Watching. Hoping. Trusting that the emotional architecture I’ve built will be honored in the final steps.
Thanks for walking with me through this part of the journey. I’ll post again when the silence breaks.

I’ll feel a lot better when the books go live on Audible and listeners start buying them. I’d like to at least recover the cost of that Canva Pro subscription.
