📣 Pre‑Release Announcement: Reunion: A Story
I’m excited to share that Reunion: A Story has officially passed all three ACX quality assurance reviews—Cover, Metadata, and Audio Files. This means the audiobook, produced by Brandon Padilla, is now cleared for distribution on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes. All that’s left is for ACX to ask me to confirm that everything is kosher, and we’re good to go.
🔍 What the ACX QA Checks Entail
- Cover Review → Ensures the artwork meets ACX’s technical specs (square format, minimum resolution, no misleading text).
- Metadata Review → Confirms that title, author, and narrator credits are consistent across the listing, cover, and audio credits.
- Audio Files Review → Checks narration quality and technical standards: proper RMS levels, consistent volume, no background noise, correct file labeling, and inclusion of opening/closing credits.
Passing these reviews is a major milestone—it means the audiobook is polished, professional, and ready for listeners.

📖 Reunion: A Story Summary (Amazon)
It is June 1983. Jim Garraty is a senior at South Miami Senior High. He’s a staff writer for the school paper, a college‑bound scholar who plans to become a historian and author of books on military history. He’s well‑liked by his peers and teachers, and his future looks bright. But as commencement draws near for the Class of 1983, Jim must deal with unfinished business. The girl he loves from afar is also graduating, and rumor has it she is going away for the summer before starting college in the fall. Worse still, Marty doesn’t know how deeply Jim’s feelings for her are—unless he tells her. But when an opportunity arises on the last day of classes, Jim hesitates…and the window of opportunity closes.
Now, 15 years later, James Garraty is an up‑and‑coming history professor whose literary career is on the rise. Respected by faculty, liked by students, and recipient of popular acclaim, Jim has it all—except for one thing: true love.
✨ Closing Note
With Comings and Goings already live, and Reunion: A Story now cleared for release, the Garratyverse is steadily expanding in audio form. Brandon Padilla’s narration brings Jim’s voice to life, and soon listeners will be able to experience the bittersweet cadence of Reunion in a whole new way.
