Sunday, February 15, 2026, Orlando, Florida

Hi, there, and welcome to my 52nd post of the year on A Certain Point of View, Too. As I write this, it’s almost noon in my corner of Central Florida. Currently, the temperature is 77°F (25°C) under partly sunny conditions. This being the subtropical zone, we’re expecting warmer temperatures later; today’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies, breezy conditions, and a high of 82°F (28°C). Not a picture-perfect Sunday in Florida, but it should be a good day to be outdoors or visit the various theme parks in the Orlando area.

Today is going to be a day of rest for me. I went to bed well after midnight and woke up around 5:30 AM, far earlier than I wanted or needed. I managed to go back to sleep after reading in bed for a while, but I was tired when I finally got up at 8:15 AM. Thankfully, it’s Sunday, and since I only work on weekends, if I can’t resist the call of the keyboard or the whispers of my characters in my mind, I plan to take it easy.

To listen to the four-part Prologue from Reunion: Coda, just hit the Play button!

Anyway, ACX only does its four-step quality assurance checks during the business week, and the Audible edition of Reunion: Coda has only undergone one – the cover art check. My design, which I created on Canva Pro last fall, passed muster because it meets ACX’s strict requirements. I am now waiting for the QA tests for metadata and audio files, as well as the final verification, before I can submit Reunion: Coda for release on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes. I must wait till tomorrow and see what ACX says.

What “The Jim Garraty Chronicles” book looks like in Kindle Create.

As for The Jim Garraty Chronicles, I could, in theory, fix a few more subheadings in the Reunion: Coda section of the omnibus, but I am tired and need to take a breather. Anyway, it’s not like the reading world is beating a path to my door for stories, old or new, so I’m in no rush to publish – at least not like I was when I was writing Coda. This project, too, can wait until tomorrow.

So, for today, I’m permitting myself to rest. The work will still be there tomorrow, and I’ll be able to tackle it with clear eyes and a better‑rested mind. Sundays are meant for slowing down, after all.

Before I sign off, though, I’ll leave you with a small invitation. If you’ve been following my updates about Jim Garraty and want to spend more time in his world, all three stories in the cycle are available now: Reunion: A Story, Reunion: Coda, and Comings and Goings – The Art of Being Seen. Each one explores a different facet of Jim’s journey, and if you enjoy character‑driven fiction with emotional depth, I think you’ll find something to love in them.

Wherever you are and whatever your Sunday looks like, I hope it’s a peaceful one. Thanks for reading, and may the rest of your day treat you kindly.
