Saturday, August 15, 2026 – Orlando, Florida
Hi, everyone.
It is another scorching late summer day in Central Florida. Like in many other countries in the Northern Hemisphere, we are experiencing a brutal heat wave in one of the hottest years on record. I’m not going to bore you by jotting down the current temperature – all you need to know is that Orange County is under a National Weather Service heat advisory that expires at 8 PM, and that stepping outside for more than a few minutes is not a good idea.
I don’t have much in the way of personal news, and aside from the oppressive heat that is affecting so many parts of the globe, I don’t have anything to add. I’m still in the final days of my sabbatical from Professional Daydreaming™, and my Kindle Direct Publishing reports page is not showing any spikes in sales of my books, so there’s nothing newsworthy on that front.
I’m still alive, though! That counts, right?
