Well… I Think I’m Writing Again

So, here’s a little something I didn’t expect to be typing: I think I’m finally starting a new book project.

Nothing huge—don’t worry. I’m not diving into another full-length novel. That’s a two‑year trek, and I’m not signing up for that kind of marathon right now. But a novella? Yeah. That feels doable. That feels… kind of nice, actually.

It’s been a long creative dry spell, longer than I’d like to admit. And after that spectacularly graceful spill in the Aldi parking lot on September 1 (I’m fine, my dignity less so), I honestly wasn’t sure when the spark would come back. But something shifted. A little idea showed up, tapped me on the shoulder, and instead of brushing it off, I found myself thinking, “Huh. Maybe I can do this.”

I’m keeping the details close for now—not out of mystery, just out of self‑preservation. Early ideas are fragile, and I don’t want to jinx the thing by overexplaining it. No promises on timelines, no guesses on when it’ll be finished. I’m just taking it one page at a time.

But hey… I’ve started. And that feels pretty darn good.
