On Collecting Blu-rays & DVDs: My ‘Cold War – The Complete Series’ DVD Set is ‘OOP’; I Better Avoid Having an Oops Moment with It!
A few years ago, not long after I moved from Miami to the Tampa Bay area, I purchased Cold War: The Complete Series, a six-disc DVD box set that presents the 1998 CNN series about the tense relationship between the Soviet Union and the United States between 1946 and 1991. I did not see the…

Musings & Thoughts for Tuesday, April 12, 2022, or: My First Day Using My New IdeaCentre, and Other Pressing Matters
Yesterday was my first full day of using my new Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 3 “all-in-one” computer. Musings & Thoughts for Tuesday, April 5, 2022, or: My New Lenovo IdeaCentre is Here

There’s just not much middle ground when it comes to technology.” ― Dani Harper My new computer – a Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 3 AMD All-in-One – arrived at our Tampa Bay area house yesterday at 5:01 PM Eastern, two days after my Lenovo C560…

Musings & Thoughts for Monday, April 4,2022, or: Goodbye, Old PC, Hello, New PC
As you know, my Lenovo C560 All-in-One stopped working this weekend. There weren’t any telltale signs of impending failure on Saturday, which was the last day that I used it; that day, I switched it on almost as soon as I woke up in the morning, wrote my daily blog post, spent time on Facebook,…

Musings & Thoughts for Sunday, April 3, 2022, or: My Desktop PC is Dead; Long Live My (Replacement) Desktop PC
Hello, Dear Reader. Today’s blog post will be brief, partly because I am writing on my laptop instead of my desktop PC, and partly because I am tired, headachy, and therefore not amenable to sitting out in the kitchenette and writing a long epistle. Why am I not writing at my desk on my PC?…
