Grey-black clouds float high
Above the wind-bent treetops
Like tears, falls the rain
What a beautiful Haiku! I especially love the last line.

In the first draft, the last line read: “The rain falls like tears.” Five words, five syllables, so it fits the rules for haiku. And I almost published it like that. But, as you can see, I reconsidered and changed it into what it is now.
