Late Morning, Monday, March 4, 2024, Madison, New Hampshire

Hi, there, folks. Welcome to the 1,451st post in A Certain Point of View, Too, and the start of a brand-new workweek for thee and me. It is a gray, cloud-shrouded early spring day here in eastern New Hampshire. The current temperature is 46°F (8°C) under cloudy conditions. With humidity at 76% and the wind blowing from the north-northeast at 4 MPH (6 KMH), the feels-like temperature is 54°F (11°C). Today’s forecast calls for cloudy skies and a high of 50°F (10°C). Tonight, we can expect mostly cloudy skies and a low of 34°F (1°C).

Weekend Update, Part the Second (Wrapping Up Sunday)

As I reported yesterday, I didn’t work on Reunion: Coda after I went to Walmart to get groceries and, after that, wrote yesterday’s blog post. I didn’t want to, for one; it was Sunday, after all, and even writers (including virtually unknown ones like me) need to take breaks. I also didn’t want to get sucked into working for four or five hours in the unlikely event that my brain could jolt itself out of “weekend mode” (it did not) and I somehow hit that “happy writing zone” where the ideas keep flowing from my mind to the keyboard as if by osmosis.

So…yeah. I relaxed yesterday, knowing full well that today wasn’t that far away, and that I had a full five-day workweek to look forward to.

I, of course, didn’t do much after I published my daily post on WordPress. I played Regiments (again), then listened to music, lurked on my social media sites, tried to read out in the living room but gave up because the couch there was not comfortable, and had an early dinner around 5:30 PM. I then hung out on Facebook for a while longer, then logged off to watch the Bonus Features Blu-ray disc from Solo: A Star Wars Story.

On Writing & Storytelling: Back to Work Monday

Cover Design: Juan Carlos Hernandez

My “action this day” plan is, naturally, to follow my workday schedule and at least finish Scene Six of Goodbye, Farewell, and Adios during the “work-on-the-novel” segment of my daily schedule. I want to produce between 500 and 1,000 new words today, but to do that, I need to make sure that I eat a good lunch, rest long enough to come back to my desk refreshed and ready to write, and – of course – feel inspired and confident in my storytelling abilities.

Speaking of workday schedules, my midday break start time is “drawing nigh,” so I’m going to close this entry here. Until next time, gang, stay safe, stay healthy, and I’ll catch you on the sunny side of things.

    1. I did. 849 new words for Scene Six. Most of them were good words, though of course edits will be made.
