Late Morning, Sunday, May 5, 2024, Madison, New Hampshire
Hi, everyone.

Well, here we are, on the first Sunday of May 2024. It’s a cool – I’d say even chilly, but I’m a transplanted Floridian, but what do I know? – and rainy spring day here in Madison’s Eidelweiss District. Currently, the temperature is 53°F (11°C) under light rain conditions. With humidity at 73% and the wind blowing from the south-southwest at 7 mph (11 Km/H), the feels-like temperature is 55°F (13°C). Today’s forecast calls for rain throughout the day. The high will be 54°F (12°C). Tonight, we can expect scattered rain showers. The low will be 45°F (7°C).
Weekend Update, Part the First (A Quick Look at My Saturday)

Yesterday was a good day, as far Saturdays go for me here. I didn’t work on Reunion: Coda – even novelists need to take time off, right? – and I needed to go to Hannaford’s to restock my food supplies. So, even if I had wanted to work yesterday, it would have been only a brief writing session, mostly because I needed to go grocery shopping, but also because Marc, Patti’s husband, needed to come by and work on the IKEA shelving I brought to New Hampshire from Florida.

Saturday, May 4 was also “Star Wars Day,” and not only did I post a bunch of Star Wars music videos on my blog to commemorate the occasion, but I also watched a few episodes of Star Wars: Andor on my 4K UHD Blu-ray player. I briefly considered watching Star Wars – Episode IV: A New Hope, but I ended up watching the 2022 Disney+ series (a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) instead.
All in all, it was a good, if not particularly exciting Saturday. At least I bought some groceries, and progress was made with my settling-in process.
Music for a Rainy Day

Aside from that, I don’t have much to report; it’s rainy, and I haven’t met any new friends to hang out with, so there’ll be no going anywhere for me today. I also don’t plan to work on the novel; tomorrow is Monday, after all, and I doubt I’ll get any “must write this down now” ideas today anyway.
So, I’ll end this post with some YouTube videos of songs that I enjoy hearing and singing, if I can hit the notes.
