An Ode to the Maddie Burger

In Madison’s embrace, ‘neath the New Hampshire sky,
A burger takes the stage, its fame set to fly.
Named for Maddie, a muse in the present so clear,
A savory homage, from a town we hold dear.

On a toasted muffin, it boldly takes stand,
With Bubba’s beef patty, from Hannaford’s hand.
Provolone’s gentle drape, a well-done delight,
Sweet Sugar Ray’s BBQ sauce, oh what a sight!

Marty’s spirit dances, in the Florida sun,
Her high school days with Jim, where it all begun.
While Maddie’s melody, in the year two-thou’,
Plays a present-day tune, to which we take a bow.

Two leading ladies, in times apart,
Both share a stage in Jim Garraty’s heart.
The Maddie Burger, a tribute so fine,
To a novel’s journey, through love and through time.
