Hello, friends.
As you may have noticed from the heading, Iโm no longer in South Florida. After decades rooted in Miami, Iโve relocated about 200 miles north to the Orlando area. The move wasnโt smoothโour first attempt on Saturday was derailed by trailer issues that left most of my belongings behind. But time was pressing, so on Sunday we packed what we could into an RV and made the drive from Miami-Dade to Orange County, arriving late in the afternoon.
I didnโt sleep much that night. The trailer still sits in Miami, holding my good laptop, my books, my music and movie collectionโpieces of my creative life Iโm not ready to lose. I have my desktop and a backup laptop, but the one I rely on most is still out of reach. And yes, I worry.

Moving is expensive. Rent, food, bills, and basic necessities pile up quickly. My Social Security disability benefitsโless than $1,000 a monthโcover some essentials, but rent alone consumes two-thirds of that. To stay afloat, I need either more donations to my GoFundMe campaign or stronger book sales and reviews on Amazon, personal blogs, and other platforms. Every bit of support helps.

And yet, despite the stress, something remarkable has happened: my new home already feels like the place where I belong. The landlady has been gracious and generous, doing everything she can to help me settle in. The other tenant welcomed me warmly, and even the four dogs here have embraced me with wagging tails and joyful energy. Their presence reminds me Iโm not aloneโand that kindness still finds its way through the cracks.
I trust Iโll be reunited with my belongings soon. Experience has taught me how to navigate setbacks like these. In the meantime, I hope more people will discover my books or contribute to my campaign. Every act of supportโno matter how smallโlightens the load and helps pave the way toward stability.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for caring. And if youโve ever found comfort or connection in my stories, nowโs a good time to let me know. Your support means more than you know.
