โI believe someone made a grievous mistake when summer was created; no novitiate or god in their right mind would make a season akin to hell on purpose. Someone should be fired.โ โ Michelle Franklin
Itโs another sweltering and โ eventually โ ย stormy summer day in Central Florida. The heat wave affecting much of the eastern United States has a viselike grip in this part of the state, and Iโm avoiding the heat, humidity, and ultraviolet radiation as much as possible. Right now itโs 90ยฐF (32ยฐC) under mostly cloudy conditions, but the radar on my Microsoft Weather app shows a cluster of thunderstorms heading this way.
That, unfortunately, means I must work on The Jim Garraty Chronicles tonight after the storms have moved on. Iโm not thrilled about this, but I have no alternative. I canโt work on the Kindle Create file with my laptopโs copy of the app. And I donโt use my PC or any other electronic devices during a thunderstorm. I know Iโm behind my self-imposed schedule. But Iโm not going to risk a brand-new computer to a lightning strike to press forward with a project that may or may not get good sales when I publish it via Kindle Direct Publishing later this year.
Thatโs all I must share with you today, Dear Reader. Until next time, stay cool, stay hydrated, and Iโll catch you on the cheerier side of things.
