Hi there, and welcome to the midweek edition of A Certain Point of View, Too.

It’s late morning here in Central Florida, and spring is doing its best impression of early summer. The temperature sits at 77˚F (25˚C) under mostly sunny skies, with 52% humidity and a gentle east-southeast breeze at 5 MPH (7 Km/H). Thanks to that humidity, it feels more like 87˚F (31˚C). Today’s forecast promises clear skies and a high of 83˚F (28˚C), so we’re firmly in the “warm but not yet unbearable” zone.

As for news on my end, the headline is simple: my new Lenovo PC is officially on its way. According to Amazon’s tracking page, the package departed a FedEx facility in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania at 3:15 AM. If the shipping gods are kind, it should arrive tomorrow. With any luck, I’ll be back to work on The Jim Garraty Chronicles and the rest of my literary backlog shortly after I get the new machine set up and my Microsoft desktop restored.

I’m still not thrilled about how all this unfolded. I’d been making real progress on the omnibus in Kindle Create when my four-year-old IdeaCentre began acting up again. First came the power supply replacement a few months back; then, on Sunday, after a night of Wi-Fi issues, the PC simply refused to turn on. I briefly considered hauling it to Best Buy for a Geek Squad diagnosis, but the logistics of getting a ride there made that plan evaporate quickly. So, as I mentioned yesterday, I bit the bullet Monday night and ordered a newer IdeaCentre instead.

Given all that, I don’t think I’ll tinker with Kindle Create today. My brain is too preoccupied with the incoming delivery—and after one truly nightmarish online computer purchase years ago, I’m not eager to tempt fate. Better to keep things low-key. I’ll focus on chores, decompress a bit, and maybe spend the afternoon reading, watching a movie, or playing a game.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is step back, breathe, and let tomorrow bring what it will.
