I must admit something that will surprise absolutely no one who knows how excited I’ve been about The Jim Garraty Chronicles finally reaching readers.
When the official KDP release email arrived, I opened it with the kind of enthusiasm normally reserved for fireworks or unexpected tax refunds.
Unfortunately, I also read it with the accuracy of someone who had already mentally sprinted past the finish line and was waving at the crowd.
I saw “12 AM” and my brain, in its adrenaline-soaked state, confidently supplied “…UTC.” It was not UTC. It was PACIFIC.
In other words, I managed to turn a perfectly ordinary time-zone notation into a plot twist.
So here’s the corrected truth: The Jim Garraty Chronicles goes live at 12 AM Pacific, which means 3 AM here in Florida. If you were planning to greet the book the moment it appears, you now have the right time — and a small example of what happens when an author gets too excited to read an email carefully.

Thank you for your patience, your enthusiasm, and your willingness to forgive a momentary lapse in time-zone literacy. The omnibus is still arriving right on schedule… just three hours later than my adrenaline initially insisted.
Jim would probably shake his head, smile, and call it character development.
